Bone Gla Protein Antibody

Abbiotec's Bone Gla Protein Antibody is a Rabbit Polyclonal antibody. The Bone Gla Protein Antibody was generated using bone gamma-carboxyglutamate (gla) protein, BGLAP, BGP, OC as the antigen and it reacts with Mouse, Rat, Human. This antibody has been shown to work in applications such as: ELISA, Immunohistochemistry, Western Blot. The bone Gla protein (BGP or osteocalcin) is a vitamin K-dependent calcium-binding protein synthesized by osteoblasts and found primarily in bone (1-2% of total bone proteins). Serum BGP measurement provides a noninvasive specific marker for bone metabolism. BGP, which contains 3 gamma-carboxyglutamic acid (Gla) residues, binds to hydroxyapatite in presence of calcium and promotes calcium accumulation in the bone matrix
